Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on authorizing the extension of Emulsions contract 1708-188, for the same terms and conditions as the existing contract, with the exception of department approved unit price increases for contracted items with the primary vendor for all items, Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc, per the attached pricing sheet. The secondary vendor for all items, Wright Asphalt, chose not to renew.  The tertiary vendor, P2 Emulsions, is renewing per the original awarded item pricing.  The renewal term is for October 10, 2018 - October 9, 2019.

Background

The Road and Bridge Department submitted Vendor Performance Reports (VPR's) for all vendors that reflected that each Vendor met our requirements on this Contract, and request to renew for the first renewal period.  These requirements were included and approved in the budget under Asphalt Emulsion, budget line item 200.210.3550. The two vendors remaining for renewal 1, Ergon Asphalt and Emulsion and P2 Emulsions are operating under the original bid survivabily clause until the contract is reviewed and approved by Commissioners Court.
