Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on ratifying service agreement in the amount of $76,775.42 between STR Constructors, LTD and Williamson County for Emergency Sewer Line Repairs for the Williamson County Jail, exempting this purchase agreement from competitive bidding requirements as per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption 262.024.(a)(3), and authorizing the execution of the agreement.

This agenda item serves as the formal approval and exemption of this purchase. Existing sewer lines were corroded and continuously leaking into the office space at the Williamson County Jail and Sheriff's Office due to the cast iron pipe cracking from rust and corrosion after years of clogging and stagnant water.  Contractor replaced the sewer lines installed above the ceiling of occupied office space.  The installation of the new insulated PVC pipe includes improving the slope and drainage of the existing condition to allow for enough drainage to prevent future clogs.  Contact for this service is Dale Butler in Facilities.
