Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on exempting Virtual Picture Corporation (VPIX) from the competitive bidding requirements established by Section § 262.024.(a)(7) of the Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions, as the sole provider for the CSI:360 Camera Upgrade Kit and software.
Background
VPIX is the only provider for the CSI:360 Camera Upgrade Kit and software as no other company is authorized to distribute this product. The sole source posting was in BidSync for 14 days with no competitive responses received. The term of this sole source exemption will be effective for 36 months from the date of approval. The quote in the amount of $12,233.00 for this purchase outlines the equipment, warranty, software, training, and service. IT has approved this quote. Department contact is Chief Tim Ryle.
