Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on exempting Drake Communications, Inc. from the competitive bidding requirements established by Section § 262.024.(a)(7) of the Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions, as the sole provider of management services and support for the existing Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telephone system, and authorize execution of the agreement.

Drake Communications, Inc. is the owner and only provider of this service for the existing IVR telephone system.  The sole source posting was in BidSync for 14 days with no competitive responses received.  The term of this sole source exemption will be effective for 36 months from the date of approval.  The quote for this service outlines what the service entails at an annual cost of $5,400.  IT has approved this service.  Funding was approved in the FY 2019 budget.  This expenditure will be charged to 01.0100.492.004506 ($1,620) and 01.0377.0377.004506 ($3,780).  Department contact is Jenifer Favreau.
