Agenda Item

Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding the Utility Agreement between Charter Communications and Williamson County for utility relocations on North Mays Extension, a Road Bond project in Commissioner Pct. 1. (Funding Source: Road Bonds, P224)

Background

Charter Communications has existing facilities, which are in conflict with the proposed construction for the North Mays Extension project. The reimbursement and joint use agreement allows them to remove existing facilities (Overhead and Underground Cable) that are in conflict with the proposed roadway and install new facilities in the proposed right of way. The County will reimburse Charter Communications $28,536.80 for the installation of 12,500 linear feet of Overhead copper cable onto Oncor's new poles and 2,500 linear feet of underground copper cable. This relocation is 26.64% reimbursable. The total anticipated reimbursement to Charter Communications by the County is $28,536.80, which is 26.64% of the total eligible costs of $107,112.63. The total eligible costs do not include betterments, because those costs are paid for by the Utility Owner.
