Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the creation of one full-time position in Animal Services Grants.
Background
It will not have a budget impact and funds are coming from Petco Foundation grant. Position title: Adoption Counselor, position grade: B.13, at minimum of the grade. The Offsite Adoption Counselor position will be funded by the $900,000 Petco Foundation grant to increase lifesaving. (The shelter will receive three installments of $300,000) The adoption fees and donations received through the work of this staff member will also aid in funding of the new Offsite Adoption Counselor position.
