Williamson County received 3 bids and the IFB was viewed by 53 suppliers. The Contractor’s low bid is $37,465.00 below the Engineer’s Estimate, a cost savings of 4.2%. In addition to meeting the bid qualifications subject to being low bidder, Champion Infrastructure LLC has successfully completed past projects for TXDOT throughout the State, including new construction traffic signals and received positive reviews from the references contacted. Based on the low bid of $853,503.50 and the previous work done for TXDOT, HNTB concurs with the Design Engineer's (Kimley Horn) recommendation of Award for O’Connor Traffic Signals contract to Champion Infrastructure in the amount of $853,503.50. Please note that there was a formula error on the Bid Form on BidSync as to where the line item for "Prep Right of Way" was not included in the tally of the BidSync spreadsheet. Hence the item was manually included in the tally on all submittals, in the case of the lowest bidding Contractor it was $7,200.00, thereby increasing their bid to $853,503.50.
