Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of tasers and accessories from Axon in the amount of $110,745, pursuant to TXMAS Contract #680-A1, and authorizing execution of the quotes and addenda.
Background
Approval of this purchase will support the operations of Williamson County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement and Corrections. All previous models are being replaced due to Taser no longer supporting them. Quote 241301 for $66,825 outlines the items for law enforcement and Quote 241299 for $43,920 outlines the items for corrections. Legal and contract audit have reviewed the quotes and requested revisions outlined in an addendum for each quote. Funding was approved in the FY20 budget. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0100.0560.003008 and 01.0100.0570.003008 respectively. Department contact is Chief Tim Ryle.
