Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on participation by Williamson County Road Bond Program under the County's habitat conservation plan (HCP) for a drainage improvement and maintenance project related to Forest North Estates in north Austin, Williamson County, Texas.

This project area comprises drainage improvements and maintenance for seven zones within existing neighborhoods. The project area covers approximately 5.5± acres - all the area overlies Karst Zone 1, an area with known potential for karst features - in the Forest North Estates in north Austin, bounded in general by RM 620 to the north, Parmer Lane to the east, Anderson Mill Road to the south and US Hwy 183 to the west; more specifically the Project Area covers approximately 13,000 linear feet of existing infrastructure within Forest North Estate, Timberwood, Village Oaks, and the Anderson Mill Village South neighborhoods. The improvements/maintenance activities are to facilitate safe, more efficient runoff removal from the neighborhoods by re-grading and clearing out existing drainage waterways, modernizing existing storm sewer and associated infrastructure and installing new storm sewers and adjusting water mains.

Staff recommends the following action: Authorize County Judge (or designee) to acknowledge/sign the Determination Letter to enroll the project under the Williamson County Regional Habitat Conservation Plan, and to execute, when presented, the Participation Agreement for this project, WCCF File 20200213, and to sign any related documents as may be required.
