Discuss, consider and take appropriate action to authorize award and engage services from the proposal received for RFP 4001 Audit and Accounting Services for Williamson County to Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P.

Williamson County received several proposals in response to this Request for Proposals from qualified and experienced public accounting firms. The objectives of this RFP were: 1) to obtain audit services for performance of Williamson County's annual financial audit in accordance with general accepted auditing standards, and 2) to obtain other related services as stated within the specifications.  From proposals received and upon initial evaluation and review, two firms were chosen for the next phase of evaluation interviews. Upon completion of the interviews, Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P. was recommended by the Evaluation Committee for award.  Term of the award is an initial 3-year period with two optional one year renewals. Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P. to provide an engagement letter to the County Auditor's Office at the beginning of the audit process.  Department point of contact will be Julie Kiley, funding source is 01.0100.0409.004181 and 01.0100.0576.004181 and was budgeted for FY 20.
