Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on ratifying the acceptance of funds in the amount of $129, 431.68 and the Terms and Conditions from Health and Human Services (HHS) CARES Act Provider Relief Fund.
Background
EMS received an initial tranche of funds from the HHS Relief Fund on April 17, 2020, in the amount of $170,596.32. The funds can only be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus, and reimburse the County for health care related expenses or lost revenues that are attributable to coronavirus. The initial Terms and Conditions were approved in court on 5/5/2020. EMS received the second tranche of funds on 6/15/2020, in the amount of $129,431.68 the Terms and Conditions must be accepted immediately. Additional tranche funding is unknown at this time.
