Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on authorizing the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive sealed proposals for Animal Shelter Veterinary Equipment under RFP #T1705.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. The WCRAS would like to expand their ability to diagnose, treat and manage medical cases within the shelter. This will help to reduce outsourcing and provide care in a more timely manner. The RFP requests proposals for a digital radiology machine, a chemistry analyzer and a hematology analyzer. RFP is for a one-time purchase of this equipment along with any necessary supplies, training and maintenance costs. Funding source for this expenditure is 396P. Department contact is Linda Gunter.
