Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #T3082 Southeast Loop at Lakeside Demo - Phase 2 to HCS Inc. Commercial General Contractors and authorizing the execution of the agreement. Funding source is Project P463.

Purchasing solicited sealed bids for Southeast Loop at Lakeside Demo - Phase 2.  One bid was received, reviewed and HCS, Inc. Commercial General Contractors was found to be responsive and materially balanced, but not mathematically correct on two items. The correction did not affect the bid offer. The bid was $49,944.33 higher than the Engineer's Estimate, a cost increase of 38.1 %. In addition to meeting the bid specifications HCS, Inc. Commercial General Contractors has successfully completed a previous Williamson County project (Demolition of Structures in Lakeside Subdivision - Phase 1) performing similar work. Based on the quality of previous work done for the County and the bid amount of $180,918.33 we submit the Recommendation of Award for the Demolition of Structures in Lakeside Subdivision - Phase 2 contract to HCS Inc.
