Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on the requested effective date for new District Court and County Court at Law in Williamson County.

On January 26, 2021, the Court approved a resolution asking the Legislature to approve a new District Court and a new County Court at Law for Williamson County, due to the increased need for additional court capacity in our justice system.  
In subsequent conversations with our legislative delegation, they have asked that we provide them with our preferred effective date for the new courts. 
The Judges of the District Courts and County Courts at Law recommend to the Commissioners Court requesting an effective date of 10/1/2022 for both the new District Court and the new County Court at Law (this would be the beginning of FY23).  It is important to note that this would articulate Williamson County's preference, though the Legislature could set the effective date for a date other than that which the Commissioners Court communicates.
