Discuss, consider and take necessary action to authorize the donation of surplus and unneeded air filters from the Williamson County Facilities Department to Habitat for Humanity to benefit Williamson County residents pursuant to Tex. Loc. Gov. Code § 263.152 and support local public health and safety.
Background
Williamson County Building Maintenance has close to 800 A/C filters of various sizes that cannot be used within Williamson County buildings. The reason for this is that either Williamson County does not have the building(s) anymore or the units in the existing buildings have been changed out. Many filters were returned for credit and the remaining ones are past the return dates. The dollar amount of these remaining filters to be donated is $2820.00.
