Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #T4302 Regional Animal Shelter Pharmaceuticals and Clinic Supplies to the lowest responsive bidder, Midwest Veterinary Supply. The award is for a period of one (1) year with two (2) optional 12-month renewals.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. The Purchasing Department solicited sealed bids for IFB T4302 Animal Shelter Pharmaceuticals and Clinic Supplies. Three (3) vendors participated in the IFB, two (2) vendors submitted bids. Midwest Veterinary Supply was found to be responsive and of best value. The Price Sheet and Letter of Recommendation from the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter are attached. Recommendation is to do an overall award to Midwest Veterinary Supply. Supplies included in this solicitation are ordered on an as-needed basis to maintain appropriate inventory for animal care and are not to exceed the budgeted amount. Budgeted amount for FY 21 is $141,000. Department contacts are Linda Gunter and Misty Valenta. Expenditures for this solicitation will be charged to 01.0545.0545.004975 and 01.0545.0545.003200.
