Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding approval and receipt of the Standard Agreement with Sonterra Municipal Utility District regarding off duty contracting of County Sheriff Deputies to be effective October 1, 2021.
Background
This renewal agreement gives permission for Sonterra MUD to contract County Sheriff Deputies in a private capacity and the County to invoice Sonterra MUD for deputies' vehicle usage. The term of this agreement shall begin on October 1, 2021 and will have three additional one year automatic renewals on October 1, 2022, October 1, 2023 and October 1, 2024. The agreement will be revisited with proper approvals from the Commissioners Court for October 1, 2025 (FY2026).
