Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 8 in the amount of $9,733.37 for 3866 Forest North Phase 3 (DeNucci Constructors), a Road Bond project in Commissioner Pct. 1 P:225 Funding Source: Road Bond. 

This Change Order adds a new item to compensate the Contractor for milling and paving the full length and width of Newberry Drive, in lieu of patching only the storm sewer pipe and water line trenches. 

The water line relocation and storm sewer pipe installation left separate trenches in the roadway. The repair of the pavement over these trenches would have patched approximately half the area of the roadway. The remaining existing pavement was old and deteriorated. The cost of this change order pays the difference in cost between patching the trenches and milling the old pavement and repaving the entire length and width of the Newberry Drive from Parkland Drive to Springvale Drive, which is approximately 1,200 linear feet long. The Cut and restore pavement item for the City of Austin water lines is subsidiary to the water line. The City portion of the milling and paving is included in the original bid item cost. As a result, there are no changes to the City of Austin bid items
