Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on an Interlocal Cooperation Contract between Williamson County and Department of Public Safety (DPS) for Crime Laboratory Services to not exceed $308,075.54 for FY22.
Background
This is a continuation of the contractual relationship wherein DPS has agreed to analyze controlled substances, marijuana, and blood alcohol evidence submitted by law enforcement agencies within Williamson County. DPS will assign the services of three (3) full time employees to perform said services. The DPS staff will be assigned to prioritize Williamson County cases before examining evidence from other agencies as long as this contract is in place. Agreement provides for the assigned staff to utilize DPS equipment for sample analysis. This contract will terminate on September 30, 2022, and may be renewed on an annual basis upon written agreement of the parties. The Department point of contact is Stephanie Lloyd. The line item expenditure is 01.0100.0560.004100.
