Agenda Item
Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on participation by Williamson County Road Bond Program under the County's habitat conservation plan (HCP) for the Southwest Bypass project Wolf Ranch Parkway to State Highway 29 connection, Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas.
Background
The Southwest Bypass is proposed between Wolf Ranch Parkway to State Highway (SH) 29 and is approximately 0.5 mile long, up to 600 feet wide, and covers approximately 34.3 acres (project area). The project area includes 1.9 acres of existing roadway (SH 29) within the northern project extent, with 0.4 acre of additional disturbance related to a raw water line installed along the western project area. The project area lies completely in Karst Zone 1 (areas known to contain endangered karst invertebrates) and may impact known inhabited features.
Staff recommends the following action: Authorize County Judge (or designee) to acknowledge/sign the Determination Letter to enroll the project under the Williamson County Regional Habitat Conservation Plan, and to execute, when presented, the Participation Agreement for this project, WCCF File #20211021 and to sign any related documents as may be required.
