Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of Deccan Live MUM Software License and upgrade in the amount of $22,622.00, for one (1) year and exempting Deccan International from competitive requirements per Texas Local Government Code §262.024(a)(7)(D) captive replacement parts or components for equipment.

Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Emergency Medical Services.  Deccan International's Live MUM software connects with the County's Computer Automated Dispatch (CAD) in real-time to identify holes in coverage by tracking each unit’s status, location, and incident assignment. The software then instantaneously recommends optimal, practical, and automated unit relocations, or “move-ups”, that reflect the department’s custom coverage policies.  Deccan International is the sole provider of annual maintenance for their products.  The sole source process was used for the Live MUM software in 2016 which included the issuance of an RFI.  This expenditure will be charged to FY22 01.0100.0503.004505.  Department contact is Richard Semple.
