10:00 AM - Conduct public hearing relating to a request from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office to create a fulltime Physician's Assistant position and to discuss (1) the reason for the position, including the public purpose that will be served by making the change; and (2) the exact amount of the changes, the sources of any additional funds need, and the terms for distribution of any excess funds that effect and maintain the public purpose to be served by making the payments.
Background
The public hearing is necessary when adding a position to the budget. The public hearing is to discuss adding a Physician's Assistant to serve the medical needs of the Williamson County Jail. It is being requested that $80,000 of the Physician's Assistant position be funded through a grant that Bluebonnet Trails has been awarded, with the remainder of the funding coming from ARPA.
