Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $47,437.00 for Project 21IFB15 Thrall (S. Bounds Street) (Chasco Constructors) P:374 Funding Source: Road Bond.

Background

This Change Order revises the location of the drainage pipe and curb inlets to clear existing utilities and changes the curb inlets from precast curb inlets outside the roadway (PCO) to precast curb inlets under the roadway (PCU).  This Change Order also revises the pipe connection between the curb inlet and the pipe under the driveway and increases the quantity of pavement repair due to the current condition of the pavement. 

Following is a summary of the new items required for this Change Order:

This Change Order results in a net increase of $47,437.00 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $937,425.00. The original Contract amount was $889,988.00. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, the Contract has been increased by $47,437.00, resulting in an 5.3% net increase in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to the Contract, as a result of this Change Order.
