Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on discussions regarding employee vacation accruals, to include, but not be limited to, postponing changing the vacation accrual cap from 9/30/2022 to 9/30/2023 and/or the payout of accruals.
Background
The Commissioners Court voted in Spring 2021 to reduce the vacation accrual maximums from 160 (or 168 for some shift employees) down to the vacation payout maximum based on years of service. Due to vacancies, a department has requested the change be postponed or a to be determined vacation payout allowed to enable staffing issues to improve and employees to be able to take time off.
