Discuss, consider and take appropriate action to approve acceptance of asset forfeiture vehicle from the United States Marshall Service to be used as a County vehicle for undercover purposes for the Sheriff's Office.
Background
The Sheriff's Office plans to utilize this vehicle for undercover surveillance/tactical operations and would pay the acquisition costs from discretionary funds in the approximate amount of $3,033.75. We are requesting maintenance and fuel costs to be paid from the general fund, Department 560 (County Sheriff).
