The Open Roads Designer platform introduces a new 3D parametric modeling design environment providing capabilities for surveying, drainage, subsurface utilities, roadway design and site design. The Road and Bridge Department submitted requisition #129397 on July 22, 2022 for approval of OpenRoads Designer Training (ORD) for four (4) employees which consisted of training classes being held virtually via Teams in two segments by two Mesa Instructors.  TxDOT has created the design templates and standards to be used for ORD software program, which Road and Bridge has adopted.  It was beneficial to the department to enroll the Road and Bridge engineering staff in this training. Legal and Contract Audit have reviewed and approved the agreement with Mesa. The total cost of training, training manuals and shipping costs of the manuals is $8,550.00.
