Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 2 in the amount of ($22,591.30) for Project 22IFB67 Davilla Street Culvert Replacement (Chasco Constructors) P: 486 Funding Source: Road Bond.

Background

This Change Order provides the final balancing for the overruns/underruns of contract quantities on the project that are a result of addressing field conditions not accounted for in the original plans. This Change Order also adds new items for the installation of a 3’X3’ grate inlet, apron, and additional rip rap flume for better drainage at the corner of Davilla and N. Walton. The final item added to this Change Order is for repairing unsuitable material encountered under the proposed roadway where the old wooden water line was located.

This Change Order results in a net decrease of $22,591.30 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $641,872.70. The original Contract amount was $664,464.00. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, the Contract has been decreased by $22,591.30, resulting in an 3.40% net decrease in the Contract cost.
