Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #22IFB153 Bulk Fuel to the lowest and best bidder, Petroleum Traders Corporation.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Fleet Department. Purchasing solicited sealed bids for bulk fuel. Six hundred eighty-seven (687) vendors were notified of the solicitation, twenty (20) vendors downloaded the documents, eight (8) bids were received. After review and evaluation of the bids, it was determined that Petroleum Traders Corporation would provide the best value for the county as the majority of fuel deliveries will be made via transport truck. Petroleum Traders had the lowest overall margins for this category of fuel delivery. This award structure is designed for a one-vendor award. Thus, the Fleet Department has recommended that IFB #22IF153 for Bulk Fuel be awarded to Petroleum Traders Corporation. Legal and contract audit reviewed the solicitation documents, budget verified the amount budgeted for bulk fuel orders. Funding for this expenditure will be charged to 01.0882.0882.003301. $1.3 million has been budgeted for fuel in the FY23 budget. Fuel is purchased as needed.
