Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of the RTLFiRST remittance and processing system annual licenses and support from the RT Lawrence Corporation for the Williamson County Tax Office in the amount of $14,207.39 and exempting the RT Lawrence Corporation from competitive bidding requirements per Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024(a)(7)(D) [discretionary exemption for captive replacement parts or components for equipment].
Background
Currently, the Tax Office uses RT Lawrence hardware and software for remittance and processing. RT Lawrence in the only company who can perform maintenance on their product at risk of voiding warranty. The annual amount of $14,207.39 is budgeted in funding source 01.0100.0499.004505 for 10.01.22 to 09.30.23 support. Funding was approved in the FY23 budget. Technology and the Budget Office have approved this expenditure. Department Point of Contact is Matt Johnson.
