Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on rejecting proposal submitted on RFP #22RFP149 EMS Agency Evaluation and request that information related to competition be excepted pursuant to Texas Government Code 552.104 and authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive sealed proposals under the new RFP #23RFP17.

The evaluation team recommends rejection of submissions to RFP #22RFP149 EMS Agency Evaluation to allow for a wider outreach to the vendor community to receive more competitive submittals that would serve in the best interest of the County as the response received was substantially over budget.  Vendor invites were sent to over eighteen hundred (1,800) vendors with twenty-four (24) document takers and only one (1) submission.  An exemption is requested Pursuant to Government Code Sec. 552.104. EXCEPTION: INFORMATION RELATED TO COMPETITION OR BIDDING. (a) Information is excepted from the requirements of Section 552.021 if it is information that, if released, would give advantage to a competitor or bidder.  The respondent's proposal will be held until the second solicitation responses are received, evaluated and awarded.  Budgeted amount: $50,000.00.
