Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving Amendment #6 for Third Party Administrator for Self Funded Benefits, with United Healthcare Insurance Company, for term beginning effective January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, and authorizing the execution of Amendment #6, for the same terms and conditions as the existing contract under Group Policy No. GA-911463AL, awarded through RFP #22RFP73.

United Healthcare Insurance Company (UHC) is the provider of Group Policy coverage for Williamson County employees.  The contract was due for solicitation in FY 21 and was solicited through RFP #22RFP73 Third Party Administrator for Medical, Dental, and Vision Programs.  UHC was the high scorer in that solicitation and is being recommended for award on 12/20/22.  This subsequent Amendment #6 is a result of that recommendation.

As recommended by the Benefits Committee, UHC Amendment #6 includes the administrative fees for the 2023 Benefits Plans for three medical plans, Navigate Plan (replacing the Nexus Plan), HSA Choice High Deductible Health Plan, Choice Plus Plan, Dental Plans, FSA/HSA Fees and outlines the new administrative rates.  Funding Sources:
