Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a resolution recognizing March of 2023 as Williamson County's demisemiseptcentennial birthday.
Background
Williamson County, Texas was formed on March 13, 1848, out of Milam County and was named after Robert McAlpin Williamson. In honor of this milestone, Williamson County celebrated its 175th birthday with a kick-off celebration on March 10 and 11, 2023, at the historic courthouse on the square in Georgetown. Other events will be planned throughout the year ending at the Williamson County Fair and Rodeo in October. More information about all demisemiseptcentennial events can be found at www.wilco175.org.
