Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of Complacency Kills training classes by HeroLight Training, LLC in the amount of $7,200.00, exempting the purchase from competitive bidding under Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(4) [personal or professional service] and authorizing the execution of this agreement.
Background
The 911 Communications Department submitted requisition #131136 along with quotes for two separate training classes. Each session is an eight (8) hour class for Complacency Kills training hosted by a HeroLight Training advisor. The trainings will be held on March 27, 2023, and March 29, 2023, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at a rate of $4,500 per day less a twenty percent (20%) discount for a total of $3,600 for each course and grand total of $7,200. The topics discussed assist the 911 Communications Operators with obtaining and verifying locations and ensuring proper monitoring of radio channels. Budgeted amount: $7,200.00.
