Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving ratification of agreement #2023159 between Williamson County and Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. for emergency debris removal due to winter storm Mara damage with a not-to-exceed amount of $3,351,980.85 and exempting from the competitive bid/proposal requirements pursuant to the discretionary exemption as set forth under Texas Local Government Code § 262.024 (a)(2) [an item necessary to preserve and protect the public health or safety or the residents of the county].
Background
This Emergency Agreement is set to expire sixty (60) days from the Notice To Proceed. The agreement has been signed by the Judge due to immediate need to start the process of addressing debris caused by winter storm Mara which may include, but is not limited to, the removal of debris from public property; removal of debris from public streets and rights-of-way; processing and disposal of debris.
