Discuss, consider and take appropriate action for the Parks Department to make application for a TxDOT 2023 Transportation Alternative grant for a shared-use path extension on the Brushy Creek Regional Trail.
Background
Grant request is for $5,569,991 to fund the planning, design, ROW acquisition/easement and construction of an approximate 1.5 mile, 10' shared-use path that will complete the connection of the existing western portion of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail along Hairy Man Road with the eastern portion of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail in Round Rock. This project will enhance connectivity with residential areas. Grant match requirement is 20% ($1,113,998) and is anticipated to come from Park Bond funds.
