Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the Services and Materials Quotation #2023194 between Williamson County and Motorola Solutions for the amount of $43,050.00 and exempting from the competitive bidding process requirements pursuant to the discretionary exemption as set forth under Texas Local Government Code 262.024(7)(D) [captive replacement parts or components for equipment].
Background
The approval of this purchase will benefit the Emergency Services Operation Center with the moving and reinstallation of communications equipment from one room to another and then back again due to the console replacement project. All equipment is part of the Motorola radio system and is fully maintained under contract by Motorola. Legal, Contract Audit, Budget and IT have reviewed this quote. The Funding Source is 01.0100.0523.004100 as per FY23 budget. The point of contact is Richard Semple.
