Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on subrecipient agreement with Yellow House Foundation to support recovery of individuals with alcohol and substance abuse disorders with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
Background
The incidence of alcohol and substance abuse have increased dramatically in recent years, including deaths from overdose. On April 11th, the Commissioners Court approved an allocation of $301,000 for Yellow House Foundation to support the recovery of individuals with alcohol and substance abuse problems. Yellow House Foundation will support the recovery process of individuals by offering a minimum of forty 12-Step Recovery meetings per week. Yellow House will provide a location for peer support, education, and recovery meetings. They will also help raise awareness of recovery solutions and be available for individuals court ordered to attend recovery meetings. The agreement has been reviewed by Legal and the Auditor's Office.
