The Assistant Internal Audit Director (PCN 0646) position budgeted salary is $95,242.58.  Bringing in a candidate at 15% above the minimum of the grade places the salary at less than the current market rate for an experienced audit supervisor.  The request is to bring in a qualified Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) with over 20 years of governmental audit experience at an annual salary of $95,242.42.  This would be an additional 9.1% above the 15% and does not exceed the current budget for the position.
