Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $17,175.00 for Project 24IFB14 CR 332 Realignment (Chasco Constructors) P: 366 Funding Source: Road Bond.

Background

This Change Order compensates the Contractor for removing and replacing an existing Sonterra 12-inch valve that would not close properly. In order to perform the shut-down for the new 12-inch tie-in, Sonterra requested that the valve be replaced while the water is shut down. There was also a 2-inch air release valve in conflict with the location of the new tie-in that had to be removed and relocated. This work was requested by Sonterra MUD and its 100% reimbursable. Please see attached Change Order for additional details.

This Change Order results in a net increase of $17,175.00 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $2,562,520.00. The original Contract amount was $2,545,345.00. As a result of this and all Change Orders to date, $17,175.00 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 0.67% net increase in the overall Contract cost. As a result of this Change Order, zero (0) days will be added to the contract.
