Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a policy exception to PCN #1239.001100 for the Animal Control Supervisor position for the Sheriff's Office.
Background
We have been in discussions with County HR and we have had very few qualified applicants for the Animal Control Supervisor, PCN#1239.001100, therefore the supervision of animal control officers will now fall under an existing sworn Sergeant. A requested position conversion of existing PCN #1239.001100 Animal Control Supervisor (B.26) to a much needed Animal Control Officer (B.19). Downgrading this PCN would shift the headcount to public-facing service with no budgetary impact.
