Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on submission of a Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) grant application for the BJA FY24 Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Site-Based Program (COSSUP) grant with an application deadline of July 1, 2024.

This solicitation by the BJA seeks to develop, implement or expand comprehensive programs in response to the overdose crisis and the impacts of illicit opioids, stimulants, or other substances. The program provides resources to support state and local efforts to respond to illicit substance use and misuse, reduce overdose deaths, promote public safety, and support access to prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services in the community and justice system.  The preliminary intent to respond is due July 1st and the grant application is due on July 8th.  Bluebonnet Trails Community Services is assisting with writing the grant application.
