Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving service agreement #2024247 for a total monthly charge of $1,246.99 between Williamson County and Optimum Business for service upgrades from 500mb to 1G and add on security packages to 508 S Rock St and authorizing the execution of the agreement and exempting the purchase from competitive bidding utilizing Tx. Gov Code 262.024 Discretionary Exemptions (a) (7) (c) electric power, gas, water, and other utility services.

The approval of the agreement will benefit Williamson County IT Department. The agreement is for an upgrade from 500mb to 1G plus Business Premier Technology Support security packages. This current promotion will give 1 gig (double the speed) with a protection package at a lower monthly cost. The county is paying double that for 500mb.
