Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $28,962.50 for Project 24IFB57 Ronald Reagan Blvd. Widening (Chaso Constructors) P: 336 Funding Source: Road Bond.

Background

This Change Order adds multiple items for pavement markings. Due to the high amount of traffic along Ronald Reagan between SH 29 and FM 3405, the existing striping is difficult to see or is missing. By restriping Ronald Reagan, it will improve the safety of the traveling public.  Please see the attached Change Order for additional details.  This Change Order results in a net increase of $28,962.50 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $52,363,051.50. The original Contract amount was $52,159,299.00. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $203,752.50 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 0.39% net increase in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to or deducted from the Contract as a result of this Change Order.
