Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $41,168.11 for Project 24IFB59 East Wilco Hwy Segment 2 Phase 1 (Capital Excavation Company) P: 392 Funding Source: Road Bond.
Background
This Change Order adds items to the Contract for adding detection systems to the temporary signal trailers, abandoning of an existing water well, and the demolition of an abandoned house. The detection system for the temporary signal trailers was added to make the CR 138 and Derby Day intersection traffic flow more safely. While clearing the right-of-way, an existing water well was discovered. This Change Order compensates the Contractor for plugging and abandoning the water well. This Change Order also adds an item for demolishing and removing an abandoned house on County property adjacent to the roadway project, at the request of Williamson County. Please see the attached Change Order for additional details.
This Change Order results in a net increase of $41,168.11 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $64,448,774.74. The original Contract amount was $64,407,606.63. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $41,168.11 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 0.06% net increase in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to or deducted from the Contract as a result of this Change Order.
