Recognize Detective Jamel Abdul-Aziz for being named Community Coach of the Year by the Jr. NBA League.
Background
This month, Detective Jamel Abdul-Aziz was recognized by the San Antonio Spurs organization as the Community Coach of the Year. Detective Aziz is dedicated to assisting our community's youth by mentoring them in sports and life. He coaches basketball, flag football and extreme flag football. He is an example of the extra work our deputies put in within our communities while not in uniform. As a result of winning this award, he will represent Texas as a candidate for National Coach of the Year. The Sheriff's Office is proud of the dedication and passion our deputies put into our communities and would like the Commissioner's Court to recognize Detective Jamel Abdul-Aziz for his achievement.
