Consider approving the conversion of 1 full-time position to 2 part-time positions. With the increasing costs associated with hiring, training, and credentialing new providers within the WCEMS system, the creation of part-time positions allows WCEMS to retain well-trained, credentialed providers who otherwise would leave the organization. By retaining current employees at a part-time status, allows WCEMS to have qualified providers on the roster to fill vacancies as needed throughout the system without the need to hire, train and credentialed newer, less experienced providers.
