Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on setting the off-duty government and non-governmental vehicle reimbursement rates at the calculated usage rate of $15 per hour, to be effective October 1, 2025.
Background
This agenda item is to take action on vehicle reimbursement rates, prior to off-duty agreements being renewed for Fiscal Year 2026. The estimated hourly rate of vehicle usage is calculated at approximately $15 per hour based on the cost of the vehicle, fuel, maintenance costs, and other expenses related to using a law enforcement vehicle. The current vehicle usage rate charged to government and non-governmental vehicle reimbursement rate entities is $14 per hour.
