The selected candidate for the Nurse 1700 role has extensive experience in the nursing profession.  No additional funds would be needed, as the request would be to pay the candidate the budgeted amount of $63,593.24 already on the position.  Current policy allows leadership to hire employees at 15% over the minimum of the grade.  This position is graded at B.23, with the minimum set at $49,135.73 and 15% over the minimum is $56,506.09.  The amount requested would be approx. 23% over the minimum. 
The selected candidate for the Nurse Supervisor 1170 role has extensive experience in the nursing profession and is a Registered Nurse.  No additional funds would be needed, as the request would be to pay the candidate the budgeted amount of $83,370.17 already on the position.  Current policy allows leadership to hire employees at 15% over the minimum of the grade.  This position is graded at B.29, with the minimum set at $66,166.35 and 15% over the minimum is $76,091.30.  The amount requested would be approx. 21% over the minimum.
