Discuss, consider and take appropriate action in support of Central Texas Table of Grace through the Williamson County Recreation Fund in the amount of $200,000. 

Commissioner Valerie Covey and a group of elected officials in the Williamson County justice system have met monthly for over a year identifying and addressing needs in the CPS/foster care system.  One of the needs identified is the need for shelter for children in the foster care system, and ways to keep children in Williamson County and avoid sending them far away to other parts of the state.  Central Texas Table of Grace (Table of Grace) will be a first-of-its-kind campus in Central Texas where youth in the foster care system can live, learn, heal and thrive with the support they deserve.  Table of Grace will provide a safe, loving home for children in foster care; independent apartment living for young adults as they transition into independence; and the Village for community connection and support every step of the way.  The mission of Table of Grace is to provide a nurturing and stable home environment for children and youth in crisis, and to offer safe and loving spaces where children in the foster care system can heal and thrive through compassionate care, personalized attention, and evidence-based programs. They are committed to working with the community to create a brighter future for foster care youth in need and inspire positive change in their lives.
During the past five years, the Table of Grace has provided care for 244 foster care youth, with 16,900+ nights of safety.  50 young adults have been supported as they age out of the foster care system.  Table of Grace currently has a $14.3 million dollar campaign to build the Village Williamson.  They have currently raised $10,402,370 from donations and are striving to raise additional funds to unlock a $2M Mabee Foundation grant.  The capital campaign will build a comprehensive campus in Round Rock that brings their programs together and that will expand the number of youths that they can serve.  It will include a 14,500 square foot home for the under 18 program, a 16,320 square foot apartment village of 24 furnished units for young adults in their Grace365 program and a renovated vocational building to teach young people job skills to prepare them for a brighter future.
