Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on support of Hill Country Community Ministries through the Williamson County Recreation Fund in the amount of $200,000.

Public Background

For over 40 years, Hill Country Community Ministries (HCCM) has served individuals and families experiencing hardship, hunger, and financial instability.  They work to break the grip of these challenges that have a negative impact on families by improving their health and well-being. The need in Williamson County continues to grow.  In 2025 HCCM:
  • Served over 8,000 families
  • Served 128,586 individuals
  • Distributed 1,207,738 pounds of food
  • New shoes for 835 children
  • Served 2,290 Backpack Students
HCCM has a $9M capital campaign to build a new facility that will expand their current 900-square food pantry to a 15,000 square foot facility, with expanded food storage, commercial kitchen space, a resource center, and a training/meeting center for the community.  This larger food pantry and resource center will help meet the growing community needs in the area.  To date, $1.8 million has been raised by individuals and community partners.
